Installing solar panels is a significant investment, so it is important to understand exactly what will happen and who will be responsible for your project.
At Impact Services, we manage the entire process in-house, from your initial enquiry and home survey through to installation, handover and aftercare. We never use subcontractors.
You will receive clear advice, a system designed around your home and no pressure to proceed.

From your first conversation to switching on your new solar system, we make the whole process straightforward.

1. Initial Conversation
Request a quote and tell us about your home, energy use and what you’d like your system to achieve.

2. Free Home Survey
One of our surveyors (not a salesperson) will visit your property to assess your roof, electrical setup and energy requirements. They will consider factors such as roof direction, available space, shading and where the equipment could be installed.

3. Bespoke Proposal
A few days after your survey, you will receive a clear, no-obligation proposal designed around your home and priorities. It will include:
- The recommended system and equipment
- Estimated electricity generation and savings
- Potential Smart Export Guarantee income
- The complete installation price
We will talk you through our recommendations and let you decide in your own time whether to proceed with the quotation.

4. Professional Installation
Your system will be installed by our own trained engineers. We never subcontract our solar installations to unknown third parties. Our team will install and test the system, keep disruption to a minimum and leave your property clean and tidy.

5. Handover and Aftercare
Before our team leaves, we will show you how the system works and how to monitor the electricity it generates. You will then receive the relevant certification and warranty information, and our team will remain available if you need support after installation.

6. Pay on Completion
Once your installation is complete, and your system has been fully tested, you will pay the agreed balance. No deposit is required.

4. Cable Entry Flashing
Where cables enter your property through the roof, a properly sealed entry point is essential. We use purpose-made flashing kits to create a secure, neat and weather-resistant seal, rather than relying on less robust methods. This helps prevent water ingress, protects your roof from potential long-term damage and ensures a reliable, professional finish.
