Energy diverters are an intelligent addition to any solar PV system.
They take the excess energy produced by the Solar PV system that would ordinarily be exported back to the grid, and diverts it to designated heat appliances i.e. your hot water cylinder.
On average, you can receive 5-15p for every kilowatt-hour of Solar PV energy that you export to the grid; comparatively, on average, it costs up to 35p per kWh to heat your hot water, with electricity.
With an Energy Diverter you can use your excess energy to heat your hot water, saving you that huge difference!
