RECC

Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) is a scheme to ensure that consumers wishing to install a small-scale heat or power generation such as a solar PV system for their home have the necessary confidence and service standards so that they can make an informed choice. We have agreed to comply with the RECC and to provide consumers easy-to-understand information about the upfront costs, the running costs and the expected performance of the small-scale heat or power-generating unit before they agree to buy a system.

MCS

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) defines, maintains, and improves quality by certifying low-carbon energy technologies and contractors. The MCS aims to decarbonise heat and power in the UK’s homes by giving the consumer confidence in home-grown energy. Complying with the MCS scheme ensures that the equipment provided meets good standards of performance and that the installers are technically safe and competent.

Green Deal Approved

The Green Deal is a government initiative to encourage consumers to make energy-saving improvements to their home, such as loft insulation, double glazing or solar panels. Funding is arranged through approved Green Deal providers.

The scheme is a loan, which allows the customer to spread the cost of the improvements over a period of between 10 and 25 years. Green Deal loans differ from standard loans because the repayments are added to your electricity bill.

WRAS

The Water Regulations Approval Scheme is an independent UK certification body for plumbing products and materials, helping business and consumers choose compliant products that keep water safe. The Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) is a conformance mark that demonstrates that an item complies with the high standards set out by the UK’s water regulations and by-laws. Any product the displays the “WRAS approved” logo has undergone significant testing by an independent laboratory and representatives of the water suppliers to ensure that it will not contribute to the contamination of public water supplies. WRAS approval is granted directly by representatives of the UK’s water suppliers and is therefore recognised and accepted by every water supplier in the UK.

What Does WRAS Approved Mean and Why Does It Matter?

Living Wage Foundation

Living Wage Foundation is an organisation at the heart of the independent movement of businesses and people that campaign for the idea that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. The organisation celebrates and recognises the leadership of responsible employers who choose to go further and pay a real Living Wage based on the cost of living, not just the government minimum.

The Living Wage offers accreditation to employers that pay the independently calculated Living Wage rates to all staff in London and the UK, or those committed to an agreed timetable of implementation, by awarding the Living Wage Employer Mark. We are proud to be among the many businesses in the UK awarded with this Mark.
