Installation Costs
Once electric vehicle chargers are installed, the only ongoing expense is for the electricity used to charge your vehicles. If you have solar panels, many of our chargers can be powered exclusively by solar energy, effectively allowing you to charge your car for free!
EV Workplace Charging and Infrastructure Grants
With the Workplace Charging Scheme, businesses can get 75% off the cost of purchasing and installing chargepoints, with up to 40 sockets eligible for a grant, capped at £350 per socket.
As OZEV-approved installers, we’re here to help. Check your eligibility and get started today!
Monitoring Costs and Consumption
EV Chargers come with very sophisticated monitoring software to keep track of costs and consumption.
The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) facilitates seamless communication between your charging station and a central management system, allowing you to generate detailed usage reports, allocate costs accurately, and even implement user-specific access.
There are many OCPC providers, but we recommend Fuuse or Monta.
How Payments are Processed
- Each OCPC provider adds a QR code on the chargepoint.
- The user simply scans the QR code to set up and pay, or they can have the app on their mobile.
- You set the rate you wish to charge (which can be zero).
- The user is charged at your set rate.
OCPP Costs
- Fuuse and Monta charge £65-£80 per annum, plus 10% of all transactions.
- The Chargepoint payments are made directly to the elected receivable bank account.
- All licenses are for one full year and there is no tie-in period after that.
