96kW System by Impact Services
Solar PV is more than just a way to reduce your carbon footprint – for industrial units, it is one of the highest-performing financial assets you can add to your balance sheet.
We’ve already helped thousands across East Anglia, and many tell us it’s the best investments they’ve ever made.

A critical step for any industrial solar installation is the G99 Grid Connection application. Because industrial units typically require larger solar arrays, you must gain formal approval from the District Network Operator (DNO) before the system can be commissioned.
If not handled correctly, grid constraints or paperwork delays can stall a project for months.
The good news? We take care of everything. Our in-house technical team manages the entire process. We navigate the complexities of local grid capacity on your behalf, ensuring your business stays compliant and your project stays on schedule.

1. Initial Consultation
We’ll hold a discovery meeting to understand your energy profile and corporate goals.
2. Technical Roof & Site Audit
One of our fully qualified engineers (not a salesperson) will visit your site to perform a structural roof assessment, check electrical infrastructure, and evaluate any potential grid constraints.
3. Comprehensive Business Proposal
Following our audit, you will receive a detailed technical proposal including:
4. Installation
Our in-house team will manage the entire installation including all health and safety (RAMS) and G99 grid applications. We work around your operations to ensure minimal disruption to your business day.
5. Commissioning & Monitoring
We’ll provide a full handover, showing you how to monitor your generation in real-time. Your investment is protected by our 10-year guarantee and manufacturer warranties for long-term peace of mind.
Most industrial units use either a 'trapezoidal' or 'standing seam' roof. We use specialised, lightweight mounting rails that fix directly to the existing roof sheets without compromising the structural integrity or the weather-sealed warranty of your building.
In most cases, industrial solar falls under "Permitted Development (Class J)". For systems over 50kW, a "Prior Approval" process is required from the local authority. We handle this entire application for you, ensuring all paperwork and technical drawings are compliant.
This is a key part of our process. During our technical audit, we assess the "dead load" of the panels and the "wind load" for your specific location. We only proceed if your building's structure is fully suitable, often utilising lightweight aluminium systems to minimise weight.
For industrial applications, we typically recommend high-efficiency monocrystalline Tier-1 panels. These offer the best longevity and power density, ensuring you get the maximum possible kilowatt-peak (kWp) from your available roof area.
We pride ourselves on minimal disruption. Most of our work takes place on the roof, and any electrical shutdowns required for the final connection are planned well in advance and scheduled at a time that suits your production or operational hours.
Industrial solar is one of the best investments a business can make. With the current energy climate and the benefit of the Annual Investment Allowance (AIA), most systems pay for themselves within 2-3 years, providing free electricity for decades thereafter.
Maintenance is minimal, but for industrial sites, we recommend an annual check. This includes an electrical string test and a visual inspection to ensure environmental factors like dust or bird nesting aren't affecting your yield.
For systems larger than a standard house, we must submit a G99 application to the District Network Operator (DNO). We manage this entire technical dialogue for you, securing your right to connect and, where possible, your right to export surplus power back to the grid.
Whether you want to lower your operating costs, increase your energy independence, or future-proof your business with 100% renewable energy, we are here to help.
With award-winning expertise and five-star aftercare, Impact Services is East Anglia’s trusted choice for industrial solar installations.
