Financing Commercial Solar Panels

Flexible Ways to Fund Your Solar Investment

Installing solar panels is one of the smartest long-term investments your business can make, and thanks to a range of financing options, you don’t need to pay everything upfront.

The most popular funding methods today are:

  1. Loan: Using a business loan to finance the installation.
  2. Annual Investment Allowance: Save over £100,000 in tax.
  3. Existing Capital: Pay for an installation in full.
  4. Government Grants: Dedicated help for businesses.

Unsure which option is best for you? We’ll be happy to explain all the details – free of charge, with no obligation.

1. Asset Finance (Loan-Funded Installations)

No upfront capital needed — your energy savings help cover the repayments.

  • Fixed monthly payments
  • Flexible terms
  • Tailored to your business cash flow
  • Ideal for maintaining liquidity while reducing operating costs

Many clients find that the savings from their solar panels offset the finance payments entirely, making this a cashflow-neutral solution from day one.

We’ve partnered with two highly respected brokers. We’ll put you in touch directly, or you’re welcome to speak with them independently – we only make introductions for unregulated business finance products.

2. Annual Investment Allowance (AIA)

Offset the cost of solar panels against your tax bill.

Through the UK’s Annual Investment Allowance, businesses can deduct up to 100% of their solar installation costs from their taxable profits in the first year.

Example:

  • You spend £100,000 on solar
  • You deduct the full £100,000 from your pre-tax profit
  • At a 25% tax rate, that’s £25,000 saved on your tax bill

We’ll work with your accountant or finance director to ensure you maximise the benefit.

3. Paying with Existing Capital

If your business prefers to purchase assets outright, this is the simplest route.

  • No interest or repayment terms
  • Fastest return on investment
  • Eligible for tax benefits via AIA
  • Start saving immediately

We offer clear, fixed pricing — no deposits, no hidden extras.

4. Grants and Business Support Schemes

While availability changes frequently, we regularly monitor:

  • Local council green business grants
  • Government net-zero support schemes
  • Regional growth fund programmes
  • Specialist funding for agriculture, heritage, and education sectors

Let us know your sector and location – we’ll help you explore any applicable schemes.
