A biomass boiler which is connected to a central heating and hot water system will save you circa £600 a year compared to electric heating or £400 a year compared to oil.
Your savings and earnings depend on your existing heating, the size of the system you intend to install, and the manufacturer’s performance.
From spring 2014 you will receive payments for the heat you generate using a Biomass Boiler through the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
